Triple C rested in readiness for Nkana clash as Buoyant Simba coach talks Kalampa downfall

Zambian enterprising midfielder Clatous Chota Chama popularly known as Triple C was an unused substitute on Wednesday when Simba SC managed a narrow 2-1 0win over KMC in a Tanzanian Vodacom league encounter.

Coach Patrick Aussems began the match with a second string side as he opted to give his key players the much needed rest ahead of a crucial CAF Champions League encounter against Zambia Super League side Nkana.

Aussems is confident his team will manage to send Nkana to the CAF confederation Cup with a huge win at the 60 000 capacity National Stadium this Saturday.

“I am confident of getting a huge victory over Nkana and after assessing my players and correcting mistakes witnessed in Kitwe ,we are set to go ” he told the clubs weekly magazine Msimbazi

Aussems explained the rationale behind leaving out most of his star players on his teams 2-1 league win over KMC. Aussems left out Emmanuel Okwi from the match day squad.

He then started with midfield ace Clatous Chama, Forwards Meddie Kagere and John Bocco on the bench.

“I rested most of my first team players because of fatigue and also because of the big assignment we have over the weekend,” he said.

Nkana carry a first leg 2-1 win advantage into the second leg but Simba only needs a one nil win at the National Stadium to progress to the next round thanks to John Bocco’s away goal.
