Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) North-Western Province Women’s League champions Trident Queens are off to the nation’s capital Lusaka for their pre-season camping and to play a series of friendly matches.
This is part of their preparations for the upcoming season where they are expected to make their debut in the Women’s National League.
Trident who is known as the Female Conquerers will set up base at Folks Lodge in Chalala and they have lined up a busy period during their 7-day stay in Lusaka as they are expected to play several friendly matches with national league teams and one Provincial side.
The Conquerers will be led by Coach Dilar Chongo alongside Eunice Phiri and will face National Assembly in their first match tomorrow Thursday (25th August 2022) before taking on Nkwazi Queens on Friday and then rest on Saturday.
On Sunday, they will return to the pitch to lock horns with Elite Ladies and wind up their pre-season friendly matches with provincial outfit Pataaki Girls on Monday with Kick-off for all games set at 10:00hours while venues will be advised in due course.
Trident Queens is expected to be among teams like Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles, Play It Forward, and ZANACO Ladies who will be competing in the Women’s National League for the first time in the coming season which is tentatively set to start next month.
