Green Buffaloes Women’s Football Club were held to a 1-1 draw by Trident Queens while Elite Ladies and Green Eagles recorded wins.
At Reiz Arena, Trident Queens came from a goal down to hold log leaders Green Buffaloes to a 1-1 draw.
Natasha ‘Little Tasha’ Nanyangwe put Green Buffaloes in the lead with a beautiful diving header off a Martha Katila cross.
With Buffaloes dominating and coming close a number of times but being wasteful, they were made to pay for it as Ruth Chinyama came off the bench to score a beautiful long range rocket to level matters to make sure the two teams shared the spoils.
At Sunset Stadium, Saliya Mwanza scored the only goal of the game as Elite Ladies saw off Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles, 1-0.
The win sees Elite Ladies move to 10th place with 10 points while Kamfinsa Police Blue Eagles drop to 12th place.
In Kabwe, Rachel Moono scored a brace as Green Eagles edged Amazing Grace 2-1 to move to second place with 19 points.
Grace Nakamba scored for Amazing Grace who were chasing their second win of the season.
The Albert Mphande coached side have moved to 19 points joint with Buffaloes but are second because of goal difference.
