TREASURED IN TZ! TRIPPLE C’s STRIKE AGAINST KALAMPA WINS GOAL OF SEASON AWARD….but mercurial midfielder still fails to earn place even in Cosafa Squad

Zambia’s export to East Africa Clatous Chota Chama continues to receive plaudits after his CAF Champions Cup injury time winner against Zambian glamour side Nkana was voted as Simba’s goal of the season.

Facing elimination from Africa’s biggest club competition, the Mansa native popped up with a goal and sealed Simba’s qualification to the group stage while Nkana dropped to the CAF Confederations Cup.

Chama, who joined the Tanzanian giants last year has been a hit in Dar el Salaam. His impressive performances has even led to the former Zesco United and Lusaka Dynamos being discussed in the parliament.

While he has been on song in Tanzanian where he has also helped his club to a league title, the talented midfielder has been omitted from both Zambia’s Mediterranean tour and Cosafa Squad.

As earlier revealed by the ZamFoot Crew, Beston Chambeshi named a 20-man squad for friendlies against Morocco, Gambia and Cameroon.

Saudi Arabian based Ziyo Tembo makes returns. Goalkeepers Allan Chibwe and Charles Mutanga are other players which didn’t feature on an exclusive squad list revealed by the ZamFoot.

Fans have fumed over the exclusions Tripple C, Lubambo Musonda and Evans Kangwa.

Lubambo and Kangwa ply their trade in Poland and Russia respectively.

The team is expected to regroup over the weekend in Lusaka.

Chambeshi will lead the team in the absence of head coach Aggrey Chiyangi who is away with an local assemblage at the 2019 Cosafa championship in Durban South Africa.

  1. It baffles me as to why Cletus Chama should be left out. He is the most creative midfielder ( number 8 ) that we have had in a long time. Why frustrate him. He was in top form for Simba in the champions league scoring very important goals for them. Even the young Belgian coach ( he was good at team selection everything else aside ) began to see a lot in him and his contribution to the team. Dont finish the young man ba Bestone, let him continue developing. Thats the problem with Zambian coaches, in fact you shouldnt even be leading the team, you should have let Chiyangi continue – isnt he the care taker coach after all. Ba FAZ what sort of decision making is this. We are not a taka taka team – lelo ni uyu mailo uyo ! Can the England national team have 2 caretaker coaches ???

    • We shouldn’t just look at talent, but character.
Lusambo deserves even to be team captain.
But Ka Cletus and ka Evans, abaiche look like they don’t have respect to elders. They will end like Fwayo Tembo.
      Also team spirit matters.
Now on coach with his goal keepers, it’s annoying for real.

  2. I told you about Beston Chambeshi especially Kangwa what has the Boy done to them? I took time to watch Kangwa play for arsenal tula the Boy has nice touches and intelligent on the ball. Kanshi finshi imwe mwe bantu lekeni ukucusha abaice!
