MTN Super League side Green Buffaloes have emerged as favourites to sign midfielder Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga, the ZamFoot has learned.
Mulenga left relegated Forest Rangers last month when his contract expired and is now a free agent.
The ZamFoot Crew understands that the Zambia army sponsored outfit are very keen on adding him to their roster.
His former club, Kabwe Warriors is also interested in bringing the defensive midfielder back to Kabwe.
Record 13 time MTN Super League Champions, Nkana have also expressed interest in the player.
Mulenga worked together with Nkana head coach Mwenya Chipepo both at Indeni and Forest Rangers.
Mulenga joined Fole Malembe in February 2024 after leaving Kabwe Warriors where he spent a year and six months.
Prior to his Kabwe Warriors move (a club he joined in July 2022) he had an impressive run with Indeni.
The defensive midfielder enjoyed great form during the 2021/2022 Zambia Super League season and scored some vital goals for Indeni.
Mulenga was very instrumental for the Oilo Men that season managing to score five goals, assist six and was also involved in the build up of many others.
In March 2022 he was roped into the Copperbelt Select for the All Stars vs the Rest match.
