Reigning Zambian Premier League champions Red Arrows are eyeing a move for goalkeeper Francis Mwansa — one of the club’s targets, reports Zambian transfer expert Wami Katanga.
Arrows would like to snatch the 22-year old shot-stopper from their military rivals Green Buffaloes after the end of the current season.
Mwansa has just six months left on his contract with Buffaloes and would be open to considering options at the end of this season, according to Katanga’s Data Non Stop.
Mwansa who made his competitive Chipolopolo Boys debut at the 2023 COSAFA Championship in the semi final clash against South Africa is viewed as one of the best goalkeepers in the local league.
He did well and showed composure as he helped Zambia to a 2-1 win over arch rivals Bafana Bafana.
Mwansa went on to keep a clean sheet in the final as Zambia beat Lesotho 1-0 to win a record seventh COSAFA title over a year ago.
