The ZamFoot Crew takes a look at some of the top ranked teenagers in the country born in 2008.

With interim Chipolopolo Boys coach George Lwandamina set to announce his provisional squad for the March FIFA international break, 2-3 youngsters might find their way into the squad.

Jonathan Kalimina (Kafue Celtic) – Left Back –   One of the most exciting left backs on the continent.

The 17 year old has already sealed a long term deal at Austria’s Red Bull Salzburg.

James Nene Sibeene (Sporting Lusaka) – Midfielder – Although he has featured as a centre back at international level, Sibeene is turning out to be a scoring midfielder for his club – 9 goals this season.

Already on the radar of a host of European clubs.

Billy Daka (Nkwazi) – Striker – The towering striker impressed in Qatar as Zambia U17 reached the last 16.

While European clubs continue to make enquiries, Daka is being starved of game time at relegation threatened Nkwazi.

Abel Salim Nyirenda (Atletico Lusaka) – Striker- Arguably one of best scorers at youth level.

Already attended trials at Brentford in England.

His market value has already skyrocketed following his performance in Qatar.

Kelvin Chipelu (Forest Rangers) – Winger – He came to stardom at the World Cup in Qatar.

He has pace and was marvellous to watch down the right flank as he provided assists.

Choonya Shampongo (Sporting Lusaka) – Winger – Another youngster to keep an eye on.

The Chililabombwe native has already been compared to Fwayo Tembo.
