Tana cautions Kalampa players ahead of Mutondo clash

Nkana FC interim coach Elijah Tana has cautioned against taking Mutondo Stars lightly as Kalampa prepare for Wednesday’s MTN Super League Week 24 encounter in Kitwe.

Nkana head into the fixture with confidence following their 2–0 victory over Konkola Blades on Saturday, but Tana insists the focus remains on approaching the midweek match with the right mentality.

“The guys are ready for the game on Wednesday. Everyone has pushed. The previous game against Konkola Blades, we put it in the grace of God. Football is all about fighting,” Tana said.

Tana encouraged the players to approach the game with confidence and enjoyment, while maintaining the competitive spirit that has carried the team through recent performances.

“My players are ready, I have told them to enjoy the game. Mutondo are playing well and they have got a very good side. It’s a side which you can’t underrate and it will be a good game,” he said.

Nkana will make the short trip within Kitwe for the Week 24 fixture scheduled for Wednesday, 11 March at Arthur Davies Stadium, with kickoff set for 15h00.

Mutondo Stars currently sit 14th on the 18-team MTN Super League table with 25 points, while Nkana occupy 11th position with 28 points.
