Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic believes Zambia has everything to qualify to the 2023 African Cup of Nations.
Ahead of Friday’s draw in Doula, Cameroon, the 56 year old believes there’s no excuse for Zambia not to qualify.
“It’s not an excuse, we are going [qualifying] to the next cup [AFCON],” the former Croatia international said.
Asanovic went further to explain that the 4-year deal which he has signed is nothing and it’s only on paper.
“The contract of 4 years is only a paper. If you are not successive here, then the contract is finished [terminated],” he explained.

“The contract is nothing. You can have a 100 years contract. The contract is just paper.
Asanovic retaliated that it is his job to put a smile on the 17 million Zambians again.
“For me and the people here [FAZ officials], It is my job to make you people happy. I want to make the Zambian people happy again, I don’t care about the [length] of the contract.
Again he ended by making reference to Friday’s draw.
“I care about 21 Janauary to see about whom we will play with who we are [going] to play in the qualification for the next Africa Cup. This is my target and focus.
