Misozi Zulu, Katongo, and Esther Siamfuko lead Copper Queens provisional squad for Namibia

Former Copper Queens skipper Misozi Zulu has returned to the national team set up ahead of the final qualification round for the Morocco 2022 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations against Namibia.

Zulu who is based in Turkey has been in fantastic form netting five goals in as many games hence being handed a call up by the Copper Queens gaffer.

Bruce Mwape has also summoned U-20 skipper Evarine Susan Katongo, defender Esther Siamfuko and wing wizard Siomala Mapepa in his 31 provisional squad.

Green Buffaloes goalkeeper Aisha Mbwana has also received a call up. Mwape has also summoned Nursing Stars defender Fridah Nalwamba.

Skipper Barbra Banda and other foreign based players are expected to join the team later on.

The team is expected to enter camp next week to begin preparations for the two matches.

Zambia will host Namibia in the first leg match on the weekend of 12-14 February before travelling to Windhoek for the return leg four days later.

Winner over two legs will qualify to the tournament that will run from 2-23 July and also doubles as the African qualifiers to the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup to be held in Australia and New Zealand.
