The best performers from the MTN Super League to be awarded in Kitwe 

The highly anticipated MTN Super League Football Awards ceremony is set to take place tonight at the Garden Court in Kitwe, culminating the 2024/25 season of the premier Zambian football league.

 The event, scheduled for 18:00 hrs, promises to be an exciting celebration of outstanding performances and achievements in Zambian football. 

Power Dynamos, the reigning champions who clinched their eighth league title on May 17th, 2025, are well-represented in several award categories, showcasing their dominance throughout the season.

Awards Categories and Nominees

Several talented players, coaches, and officials have been nominated for various awards, including:

Player of the Year : Prince Mumba and Owen Tembo from Power Dynamos, and Abraham Siakombo from Zesco United, are vying for this prestigious award.

Young Player of the Year: David Simukonda and Pascal Phiri from Zesco United, and Dominic Kanda from Zanaco FC, are among the top contenders.

Coach of the Year: Oswald Mutapa from Power Dynamos, Mwenya Chipepo from Nkana FC, and Emmanuel Siwale from Zesco United, are in the running for this award.

Most Disciplined Player of the Year: Fredrick Mulambya from Power Dynamos, Chilimba Monga from Green Buffaloes, and James Chamanga from Red Arrows, are nominated for this award.

Top Scorers: Titus Chansa from Power Dynamos and Idriss Ilunga Mbombo from Nkana FC are joint top scorers with 13 goals each.

Other Award Categories

The MTN Super League Awards will also recognize excellence in other areas, including:

Golden Glove: Willard Mwanza from Power Dynamos, Luka Mainza from Nkwazi FC, and Toaster Nsabata from Zesco United, are vying for this award.

Fan of the Season: Fred Chibeka (Shombo International) from Power Dynamos, Earnest Mwansa (Earnesto International) from Zesco United, and Bernard Munachongo (ZHA ZHA) from Nchanga Rangers, are among the top contenders.

– Centre Referee of the Season, Assistant Referee of the Season, Journalist of the Season (Radio, Print, Television and Digital), Club Media of the Season, and Presidents’ Awards will also be honored tonight.

The MTN Super League Awards ceremony promises to be an exciting celebration of Zambian football, recognizing the outstanding achievements of players, coaches, and officials who have made significant contributions to the sport.
