Tenant out to tame Buffaloes as Bankers look to extend unbeaten run

Tenant Chilumba will get a baptism of fire in his first game in-charge at Napsa Stars when he leads Napsa Stars in his first game in-charge against Green Buffaloes who are the most in-form team in the last five games played by all teams.

Chilumba who was appointed early this week took over from fired Wilson Mwale to help a struggling Napsa side.

Despite blending youth and experience, Napsa seem to be lacking character to kill off games and showed from the opening game when they gave away a lead against Power to lose 2 – 1.

Chilumba has young players like Ngosa Sunzu and experience in players like Matthews Macha, Henry Banda and goalie Rabson Muchelenganga.

But the team has only managed 11 points from 12 games.

Green Buffaloes on the other hand have 18 points from 9 games having 4 games in hand and have only lost once.

But with Adrian Chama, Buchizya Mfune, Steven Kabamba and influential skipper Christopher Katongo out with the Chipolopolo, Napsa will fancy their chances as the fluidity Buffaloes showed when they tore Nkana to pieces at Independence stadium may be disturbed.

Diamond Chikwekwe, Lottie Phiri and Sebastian Mwansa however will be key men for Buffaloes.

In the early kick off, another Lusaka derby will see Lusaka Tigers play Nkwazi.

Nkwazi will be without their leading scorer Steward Chikandiwa.

At Sunset stadium, the ‘bankers’ Zanaco could end the day a point off leaders Nkana when they play Red Arrows.

Zanaco, the only team without a loss this season have gone three games in a row without a win and will be hoping to get back to winning ways.

Saith Sakala is expected to make his second start for Zanaco to partner Fashion Sakala as coach Numba Mumamba searches for goals.

Arrows will be looking to sensational striker U17 striker Joseph Phiri to get a result.
