FAZ/EDEN University National Division One side Mighty Mufulira Wanderers has confirmed the departure of head coach Tenant Chembo who has parted ways with the club on mutual consent.
Chembo joined the most successful club in the country earlier this year after a stint with KYSA last season as a specialist consultant. The club took to Facebook to confirm the development.
“Earlier today our former head coach Tenant Chembo, bid farewell to the team as he and the club have parted ways on mutual consent.”
The former Zesco United boss thanked the management for the good working relationship while the CEO of the club Chimwemwe Manda Luzendu thanked him for Tue services rendered to the club.
“He thanked management for the cordial working relationship that they enjoyed and he advised the players to not lose focus of the target they set, which is to bounce back into the ZPL.
At the same address, club chief executive officer Chimwemwe M. Luzendu also thanked the coach for the great work done so far and urged the players to keep the eyes on the ball. She also assured them that they had the full support of management to achieve their target.”
Harrison Tembo will take up the mantle as interim coach and will be assisted by Moses Kashimoto.
Wanderers are eighth on the log with 9 points after seven games, Next up is a clash against Gomes at Shinde Stadium.
