The Football Association of Zambia FAZ has announced that the MTN FAZ Super League will return this Saturday after a two week recess due to the national mourning despite the national team being involved in an international fixture.
The league penultimate fixtures will have epic battles for teams vying for the title and teams battling for survival but these are likely to be overshadowed by the national team who are having a crucial fixture against Mozambique.
The league will also miss some of the players who have lit-up the league this season who are on national duty i.e. Toaster Nsabata, Danny Munyao, Christopher Munthali, Donashano Malama, Nyambe Mulenga, Bruce Musakanya, Shadreck Malambo, Rodrick Kabwe, Charles Zulu, Spencer Sautu, Changwe Kalale, Patrick Ngoma, Ronald Kampamba.
Champions Nkana will be the waste affected having contributed three players to the national team.

Why not postpone these fixtures in line international standards? These are FIFA international dates and each club at this stage wants the best players available. Why dilute the league? Its not our fault that we had a state funeral in the country.
Ma rubbish, only in Zambia where this happens.
