The Zambia Super League will enter week 26 of action this weekend with nine matches taking centre stage.
In Lusaka, Nkoloma Stadium is the place to be as a double takes headlines the fixtures. Zambia Police sponsored outfit, High Flying Nkwazi welcome Lusaka Dynamos while Red Arrows face off with Buildcon.
Defending Champions, ZESCO United welcome struggling Konkola Blades while record 13 time Champions Nkana play host to youthful Kafue Celtic.
Nkwazi vs Lusaka Dynamos
The Zambia police sponsored outfit will be looking to get back to winning ways and celebrate police day which falls on 4th March.
Dennis Makinka’s boys are on a 3 match winless run and will be looking to record maximum points.
They will however be without a number of players including, Crawford Mwaba who is still recovering from an Abdominal injury which lead to him being substituted against Power Dynamos last week.
Henry Besa also picked up an injury on his Right ankle. Eli Tabitha Kazangarare and Bernard Kumwenda missed the one defeat away to Power with Quadriceps muscle (Vastus medialis) both on the right thigh and a doubt for this match.
Lusaka Dynamos on the other hand have managed two wins in their last five games (which is the most they have managed this season in a space of five games).
Coach Mathews Phiri will be hoping his team can finally manage back to back wins after edging Kafue Celtic 1-0 last weekend.
This fixture has seen eight draws in the last eighteen meetings with Nkwazi winning six games and Lusaka Dynamos carrying the day four times.
Red Arrows vs Buildcon
Buildcon will be hoping to become only the second team to beat Red Arrows in 20 games when the two teams face off at Nkoloma Stadium on Saturday.
Team Kopala are unbeaten in the last two games and will hope to make it three wins in a row.
Lubinda Mundia has been in fine form for the Ndola based outfit and will once again be key for them tomorrow.
The Airmen will be without veteran striker James Chamanga who has a mild fever and will miss the match.
“We are ready for Buildcon tomorrow. We prepared well and trained for this particular match. However, we have a few players with slight knocks as well as ‘big Jemba’ who has a slight fever. Subsequently, Jemba is ruled out but expect a good game…others must be ready to take up the task and we have that depth,”Arrows boss Chisi Mbewe confirmed in a press conference on Friday.
Without Chamanga, Chisi Mbewe will look to Joseph Phiri, Twiza Chaibela and Ricky Banda to lead the attack for the Airmen.
Alassane Diarra has been amazing in the middle of the park for Chisi Mbewe’s men and will be vital against a resilient Team Kopala.
Nkana vs Kafue Celtic
Nkana are aiming to get back to winning ways when they welcome relegation threatened Kafue Celtic at Nkana Stadium.
Nkana beat the Crocs by a lone Ronald ‘Sate-Sate’ Kampamba goal in the reverse fixture. A win for Nkana may see them get back into the top four.
Striker Alex Ng’onga is a player Celtic need to keep quiet of they hope to get anything out of this game.
Albert Kangwanda has been in fine form despite Celtic not doing so well and will be the main man upfront tasked with getting goals especially in the absence of Peter Chikola who is attending trials in Austria. Mwila Siwale is another spark upfront for the Crocs.

Kansanshi Dynamos vs Green Buffaloes
In form Kansanshi Dynamos welcome unpredictable Green Buffaloes to Solwezi in what is expected to be a crunchy encounter.
The Mabanga Boys are on a six match unbeaten run while Green Buffaloes have only two wins in their last 13 matches.
Jesse Were vs Martin Njobvu
ZESCO United legend, Jesse Jackson Were seems to be rejuvenated since making his switch to Solwezi in January.
Were has managed to score four goals (twice as much as he scored for Zega Mambo in the first half of the season) since making his debut on 7th January and will be looking to add to his tally.
For the Soldiers since the departure of Friday Samu who was banging in goals for fun, Martin Njobvu seems to be next most reliable goal getter for them.
Njobvu uses his pace to his advantage and Kansanshi Dynamos will need to take extra care when dealing with the for Zambia U-20 national team winger.
The Chaisa product has 7 goals to his name and will look to add to the tally.
ZESCO United vs Konkola Blades

The Chililabombwe based outfit are on a two match unbeaten run and are eager to make it three in a row with relegation fears becoming more real with every match day that comes by.
With Second spot in sight however, Zega Mambo will be keen to pick up maximum points given they will be at home.
John Ching’andu netted a brace last weekend as he continues to get finer with age-like wine. He is expected to play a vital role for ZESCO United against Blades.

Indeni vs Green Eagles
Struggling Indeni will square off with inform Green Eagles at Trade Fair Ground.
Eagles want to keep pressure on log leaders, Red Arrows and need a win to maintain second spot on the log with ZESCO United hot on their tail.
David Chilufya and his men are however desperate for a win having gone five games with picking up a single point.
Clement ‘Jakuzi’ Mulenga will be key for Indeni in midfield while the Kawale Boys are banking of Emmanuel Mwaba, Enerst Mbewe and Hosea Silwimba to deliver the much needed goals and creativity.
A loss may see Indeni drop into the relegation zone while a win will see them push up the table.
Kabwe Warriors vs Forest Rangers
In Kabwe, the Magnificent People’s team, Kabwe Warriors welcome inconsistent Forest Rangers in a tricky affair.
The two teams have both recorded a win, a draw and a loss in their last five games and it’s not clear which Warriors or Fole Malembe will turn up on Saturday.
A win for either side will see them move closer to the top seven bracket.
Chambishi vs Prison Leopards
Relegation threatened, Chambishi FC will be at home in week 26 as they entertain the visit of Prison Leopards.
A win for either side will be their first in four games and very important in the quest to avoid relegation.
