Super Falcons hand Copper Queens humiliating defeat

The Copper Queens were handed a humiliating 5-0 defeat by the Super Falcons to end Zambia’s adventure at the ongoing TotalEnergies CAF Women’s Africa Cup of Nations.

Osinachi Ohale put the nine time Champions in the lead just two minutes into the match with headed goal from close range.

Esther Okoronkwo doubled the lead in the 34th minute before a mistake in defense handed Chinwedu Ihezuo a chance and she made no mistake making it 3-0.

Demehin Oluwatoshi headed in a Esther Okoronkwo free kick to make it 4-0 eighteen minutes into the second stanza.

Folashade Ijamilusi completed the Copper Queens humiliation with a close range finish.

The result means Zambia have been booted out while Nigeria will maintain their status of at least reaching the Semifinals in a record 13th tournament.

Nigeria wi face the winner between South Africa and Senegal
