Sunzu’s Chinese side avoid relegation

Congolese striker Oscar Maritu scored twice as Cangzhou Mighty Lions avoided relegation with a game to play.

Cangzhou Mighty Lions beat Dalian Pro 2-0 thanks to a brace from Maritu on Friday. The Congolese striker has scored in ️6 consecutive games.

Zambian legend Stopilla Sunzu marshalled the Cangzhou back three.

The former Afrisport defender also captained the side as he made his 21st league matches for his club.

The 32 year old has also chipped with 2 goals.

The 2012 African Cup of Nations winning defender is into his second season with the Cangzhou having joined from French side Metz in 2020.

Sunzu has played for Arsenal Tula in Russia, French side Sochuax and Lille.

He also played for Zanaco and TP Mazembe were he won the CAF Champions League in 2010.
