Sunzu plays as Lille reach cup semifinal

Chipolopolo defender Stopilla Sunzu completed 90 minutes as he helped his French Ligue 1 club Lille to a semifinal place in the domestic cup after beating Guingamp on post match penalties.

The two teams played out to a goalless draw but it was Lille who emerged victorious with heroics from Nigerian international goalkeeper Vincent Enyema.

This was Sunzu’s first game in the year 2015 as his previous game was against Laval in another cup game on 15th December, 2015.

The semifinal game will be played on 27th January against Bordeaux.

Both Emmanual Mbola and Evans Kangwa started for Hapoel Ra’anana beat hakoah Ramat Gan 3 – 0 in a cup game.

Roger Kola’s Veria lost and were kicked out of the domestic cup. Kola made a substitute appearance.
