Chipolopolo defender Stopilla Sunzu was not named in the Lille team that traveled and drew 1 – 1 away at bottom placed Troyes in what was the club’s first game since firing Herve Renard.
Frenchman Patrick Collot has taken over at Lille and it didn’t seem Sunzu is his preferred centre back as there were no reports of injury to the defender.
The towering defender looked to be in good form when he featured for Zambia on Sunday and would have been looking at sealing a place in the Lille first team.
Former Chipolopolo coach Renard signed Sunzu on a season long loan from Chinese side Shanghai Shenhua and he played six games for the struggling French side.
Lille are currently in 16th position.
Hopefully it’s not the case of him not being in the new coach’s plans .

That’s why so many Zambians have failed to get into Europe we simply are not regarded as a football nation outside africa and it’s sad. Sunzu is better than all the defenders lille have.
The coach is trying to familiarise himself with players, there will b changes in tactics, formations etc. Sunzu will claim his place. After all Lille’s problems hv been in attack.

Sunzu’s a great defender yes but I guess only time will tell if he was only riding on HR’s luck or status..
This is were now mental strength should apply by Sunzu. He shouldn’t be discouraged but must continue working hard! Our players in this area are not strong as compared to west african players.
May be its because he was out for national duties he didn’t train properly with the new coach.

THE COACH DID NOT PICK SUNSU BECAUSE OF FATIGUE.THE LOOKED VERY TIRED AFTER NATIONAL DUTY. THATS WHAT I THINK BUT NEXT WEEK AM SURE HE WILL WALK STRAIGHT INTO THE TEAM.
