Zambian internationals Stopilla Sunzu and Jacob Mulenga played on opposite sides over the weekend when their clubs Shanghai Shenhua and Shijiazhuang Yongchang faced off in the Chinese League.

The two teams played out to a goalless draw with both Sunzu and Mulenga playing 90 minutes in the week 12 match.

Mulenga has so far played in all of his team’s 11 games with a return of 3 goals while Sunzu has played 12 games scoring once so far.

Zambia have added a friendly date against Ethiopia in what has been a busy schedule last week for Chipolopolo.

Honour Janza’s men will be in Addis Ababa this Saturday to face Ethiopia in a pre-2017 Africa Cup qualifier warm-up match.

Janza is most likely going to field the same team that recently returned from the Cosafa Castle Cup in South Africa where they failed to defend their title after finishing 6th.

“There may be one or two changes but we are still consulting,” Janza said.

Zambia are expected to fly out to Addis on Tuesday.

This will be the two sides first meeting since January 21, 2013 when they meet in an Africa Cup Group C match at Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit that ended 1-1.

Meanwhile, Zambia will kick-off their 2017 Africa Cup Group E qualifiers next weekend when they host Guinea Bissau in Ndola on June 13.

  2. Faz is useless. Fwayo tembo played 82 minutes in astra’s win over dinamo and helped his club qualify for the europa league. Rodgers kola’s club have finished 2nd in Israel and he will be in the europa league. These are things faz is not telling you. They will keep selecting useless players at the expense of high performers simply because of hatred.

    • Yup, that’s true John. In Zambia only the anointed Kalu’s name should sung be everytime. Chris Katongo’s leadership won the AFCON, and was immediately frustrated and eventually axed from the team just to destroy his legacy. Fwayo and Kola are performing well, but are not wanted near the national team for fear that they will do well and surpass the anointed one archivement and eventually would be more relevant than Kalu. What a corrupt filthy punk this guy and his clowns are. They want to be playing ma kulas like Jackson Mwanza whom are pretty much the “YES Sirs” to all their nonsense. I am praying that on the next list the FBI is compiling, Kalu’s name is on there because I am sick and tired of his corruption and how people have turned a blind sight on it. Kalu and his crooks needs out of FAZ, and at this rate, I wouldn’t mind see a ngwangwazi lead FAZ than this corrupt punk stealing this everything from FAZ including awarding shady marketing contracts to his wife or jersey supplies of the national team to people that are his friends and suppliy low quality high school caliber jerseys. What a joke.

      • I do hope as well that the FBI is compiling another list of thugs to round them together.I am mindful that some people think that the USA is putting their nose into non of their businesses, but on this one I say ‘GOD BLESS THE USA’ for the swift move they took to arrest the FIFA thugs. The FIFA met their march and I wonder if they will be considering to ban the USA from all the FIFA organized tournaments. ha ha ha.It is called taking initiatives. I do not see our self anointed missing on the list.My bro. TC Soccerman, you have said it well with your heart.Indeed it is so painful to see thugs stealing comfortably without any fear or being held accountable for their evil deeds. Thanks America, I know you do not do everything right, but on this one you got them!

        • Thanks Stephen and well said above. A lot of people are mistaking justice with hatred. Somebody had to do it, and USA as the world Police had to do it. A lot of these thugs in FiFA were using USA financial institutions to maneuver the bribes. Now through financial forensic, the FBI with Swiss authorities are looking into who else got a cut in one or another. Issa Hayatou will be one the list, that I know for sure and a whole lots of African FA presidents. There are also some FIFA members that were secretly arrested last year and have been offered deals to bring to light those that are corrupt and will be brought to book. So to that, I say get some popcorn and enjoy the show while it lasts. For years FIFA, CAF and now FAZ have been corrupt and now karma is coming back to haunt them. Our FAZ cannot be held accountable due to the fact our gov’t have always been corrupt and so is the ACC. Corrupt, dictator and arrogant Kalu has learned a lot from Issa in as afar as stealing goes, but time is running out for these thugs. “Kaili yali ni nkongole fye ilya”…I wonder how many nkongoles you too brah! lol, you going down homie, just come out clean.

          • man,That is so true!!!You said it all. You remember, “we were running on thin resources”” too a ha ha ha elo lwanya! These thugs will eventually be exposed.so sweet. Hope this move with help to remind some other dictators in the African continents that they are not gods.

  3. Now we are stuck with potato head Janza that is still learning that in order to win “We have to score goals” like really?

  4. @ Tc soccer man from the little I saw of Jackson mwanza at afcon 2015 it’s clear this guy is not national team material. So why can’t they call fwayo and kola to beef the team up. We are tired of crying.

  5. @TC Soccerman, you’re right. Janza’s post-match comments following the loss to Malawi were baffling. Is he only learning now that to win you need to score goals? Was that his professional analysis of the match? Shocking to see such a shallow analysis.

  6. I loved Kalu as a player, just like anybody else loved seeing him terrorizing any opponent the whole Africa, but when something is wrong, we need to stand up against it. Kalu has been using his playing legacy to screw the Zambian people through mismanagement of funds at FAZ. He feels nobody should question him on anything else with regards on how things are run at FAZ. He finger points who the Zambian coaches are without any transparent due process of selecting a qualified coach that is a good fit for our team, with what resources we have. He tells the coaches not to play certain players like Kola and Chris Katongo(then before it was apparent that his playing days are over). Kalu with is ego, has failed to mend relationships with the Musonda’s in an attempt to have the highly skilled Charly Musonda to come play for Zambia. We stand a better chance of having young Charly play for mother Zambia than him displacing Eden Hazard in Belgium, but no Kalu puts his egos first than the benefit of mother Zambia as a whole. I lost respect for Kalu when he slapped a journalist who asked him why he was living at the Pamodzi hotel on Tax payers money when Faz was broke. He is very extravagant for himself and not for the team and that’s my issue. Now he is living in South Africa, claiming to be leading FAZ, how are you a man of the house when you don’t live in that house? Only in Zambia that this nonsense takes place. I do think that we, in Zambia still have colonial master syndrome. How can all these be happen and everybody is ok with it? Still shaking my head.

  7. I shake my head also my brother guess that makes two of us,one of the most contributing factor has to be that most of the FAZ executive is made up clowns with a basic education and also this time around Kalu is Clever enough now to be splitting the cut with his clowns as unlike in the past were he would just chew alone but just after the fracas he was like o.k hence any one who would like question him is on the cut basis.
