Chipolopolo captain Stopilla Sunzu will join the Zambia national soccer team tomorrow after his French Ligue 1 side Sochaux agreed to release him following a club v country row, Zambianfootball.co.zm can exclusively reveal.
The towering defender has been conspicuously missing from the Chipolopolo camp without any official statement from FAZ but the ZamFoot Crew can review that Sochaux had tried to hold on to the player after he suffered an injury on Friday in a league game.
However, the national team technical bench has insisted that the player be allowed to travel so that he is examined by the Chipolopolo medical team.
A source close to the development has stated that Sochaux have now bowed to the pressure and have finally agreed to released the player who may link up with the team in South Africa en-route to Mozambique.

why keeping the player , this are international duties allow him to travel please. If he has got an injury let our on national team doctor examine him…
Janza don’t force Sunzu if is injured find a replacement, we don’t want to experience what happened in Cape Verde
If he is not fit, if he does not train with his friends, if he is jet lagged, then please don’t use him. a 15 use him pa 19 th. Player communication and telepathy mu game is very cardinal
Let his friends also get used to playing without him.
we need sunzu, if he is injured he can speak for himself, im sure it wz jst a miner injury.
Sochaux now acting like TP Mazembe. Sunzu shoul stand firm coz we don’t want him to be called names by fans like they did to the trio of Kalaba, Sunzu and HH. (mailon Brothers).
This
delusional lot
is at it again
praising
mediocrity,
everybody knows outside
Zambia this sunzu guy is
just an average player who
failed to secure a contract
in French top division.Sochaux never refused to realease him, they were doing fine without him few weeks back.
alexx zz it’s obvious you are hurt by the 1-0 beating you received from zambia in 2012 at the afcon. That was your golden chance to win a trophy and ‘small’ zambia blocked you. Im so sorry.
John tell the ma.
Mr John tell these guys off. They thought Zambia is a push over.
zamfoot. chawashani. ama moderation too much. wat r u moderating me for. yet u allow bloggers from ancient afcon winner country to blogg freely.
So what is has this to do with you wherever you crawled out from, in Zambia we adore mediocre footballers, useless footballers and excellent footballers.
We are Zambians and we don’t want people to notice the difference.
@Allex zz, How are you my bro? its a long time since I have been here on this site which I can call our home.am a bit disappointed with you after a long time you have been on this site which for now you can also call home,,but you still have nothing + to offer or praise.all you got for Zambians is still insults and negative comments. if I can ask, what makes you be here from morning till late,Sunday to Monday? my bro stop wasting your time here and ours too.this is our only platform where we can tell our soccer leaders what we want as a soccer loving nation peacefully. here in zed we don’t believe in protesting with machets as you do in your countries
Sorry, I repeat this.
So what has this to do with you wherever you crawled out from, in Zambia we adore mediocre footballers, useless footballers and excellent footballers.

Blind comment from a hater.everyone who actualy follows sochaux knows that sunzu plays each and every game(90min) for sochaux unless he is injured.that has been the case from the day he went there. We know we are not the best in africa but this site is meant to give support to ZAMBIAN football.you know the site to visit if you want to here music to your ears, this is ZAMFOOT!
Thank you fanatic for reminding everyone on this site, that we have id!ots that come to this site just to be a troll. People like that are not worth a dime and one can never cure stupidity in my opinion.
This injury needs to be taken seriously. Against Lesotho, an injured Sunzu was forced to play with his knee heavily bandaged. It was his hesitation in defence that led to the equlaizing goal from Lesotho. We can not afford to make the same mistake against Mozambique. Janza should look to playing someone else in the central defensive role. With Mweene also not at 100% (yes he trained, but groin injuries are longterm bane, on average it takes 4 to 6 weeks for a groin injury to heal).
Qatar has approached Caf to host the Ebola Afcon but Caf have rejected the offer and it’s set to name the host in the next 3 days.
Its likely to be Nigeria. @positive thinking, you are the only one who think positively and I admire your intelligent contributions here, though some records needs to be set straightforward in order to stop people from misleading others

I cannot just believe the pain and damage the Chipolopolo team inflicted on some Ghanaian fan. I now believe that I under estimated the damage the mighty Chipolopolo caused on some black star fans, they are still clinging to our Zamfoot soccer forum to release their anger and hatred!!
How come their world class players recovered from the defeats much quicker than these wailers who constantly come to degrade our players? Your world class players opted to retire after the two defeats in a row and some just had to quit! Later after they recovered from the pain and shame they recovered quicker and came back to join your team. Some of them had to be begged by your president. So has anything changed since the retirees and quitters came back to your trophy less team? Have you won any thing to boast about?
Indeed it was so painful to lose twice in a row to the same team you believe to be not in your class. Alex zz,kwarce, minnows and their fellow haters are still wondering what happened to their world class team losing to a small team.
The pain sunk deep into your hearts and this has led them to be close follower of Zambian soccer. They are faithful follower of Zambian soccer and will never stop visiting Zamfoot because the damage is still fresh and is so big!. Not even heart surgery or mental counselor will help them. They will always be asking themselves what happened.
SUNZU is arguably the best center back in Africa he outsmarted Drogba.Dede Ayew Asamoah Giyan Demba Ba Papice cise just about all strikers of repute in Africa
Thank you zamfoot for heeding to my observation
Janza, don’t feature Sunzu. he always gets injured when he plays on artificial pitches. guess you are aware of that. the two games we played on artificial surfaces he has always come off limping and if not substituted, he has caused the opponents to score against us.
Sunzu has always played at artfical pitch at TP MAZEMBE y was that not happening?
I only got one question when did Ghana win an AFCON tropy?
that`s a difficult question let`s ask our 4 fathers.Ghana win an AFCON tropy?
