Chipolopolo defender Stopilla Sunzu was yesterday in target for his French Ligue 1 side Lille.
Sunzu who missed the weekend games after he was red carded in a league game returned to help Lille come from behind to win 2 – 1 against Troyes in a league cup match.
Sunzu powered home a header in the 49th minute from close range benefiting from Ghanaian substitute Yaw Yeboahs corner. He completed the entire.
The on loan defender had earlier come close in the 35th and 41st minute of the game.
The win pushed Lille into the quarter finals.
In Thailand, Noah Chivuta scored and made an assist in Korat’s 2-1 win over BEC. Chivuta was named in the Toyota team of the week for his impressive performance.
In Russia, Chisamba Lungu watched from the bench as he was rested for Sunday’s league
game against Spartak Moscow. Ural lost 2-1 to CSKA Moscow in a Cup game.
abakali bakali….. well done Stoppilla.
We don’t want experimentation against Sudan. A seasoned team packed with professionals must be called. I want to see that boy kabaso Chongo from TP mazembe. The boy is solid and built like a strong horse. We don’t want those weak full backs like Boyd mkandawire.
i can see the 18 year old Yaw Yeboah is gradually warming himself into the starting line up of Lille.Good to see him and Sunzu enjoying themselves. I watched him play and he was instrumental. Keep it up you might get a call up to the black stars team and a regular play time when you return to Man City after the loan
@Rascozy this boy just need 3 blackstar games and he can be our perfect link between striker and midfield. He’s got a good eye and a depth touch. I trust he will keep his form. For Sunzu he never disappoints Renard. He must improve his leadership skills though
Nice outing for Sunzu, coming back from suspension with a goal and 90 mins football. I think he deserves a starting shirt in their next league game.

Kelechi Iheanacho was man of the match yesterday for man city against Crystal with a goal and 2 assists ahead of yaya toure, navas, kolarov, bony, kevin de bruyne. If he continues like this then he will surely bench bony, to rank behind Aguero.
Sad affair for Bony as he keeps on warming that man city bench, Iam sure he must be waiting for the management to give Pallegrinni the sack.
We need fwayo
Say that again bro!
I am watching the last part of the match between Mufulira Wanderers vs Nchanga Rangers. I can say the game is boring, what with the POOR state of Shinde stadium. Surely these guys should learn to look after their pitches. Ichibansa kwati it’s a primary school pitch sure.
Congrate Sunzu and Chivuta. Speaking of Chivuta, he’s able to shine coz he plays in a weak league and 2nd division for that matter. If he needs to prove himself he should move to. More competitive league like the middle east.
bola niya round.weldon nsuzu nd chivuta
Sunzu is the best defender in Africa
I was at Shinde Stadium last time Mighty played there against Nakambala Leopards and the pitch wasn’t as bad as you ‘ve described it Mr Billy .
I am not sure the Shinde stadium you were at. That brown pitch and poor playing surface? Why do we accept poor standards in Zambia? Lets improve and move on with the times guys.
Work hard
Hope lwamda is watching not ukuleta ba pikinin watch kabaso chongo as a defenda is beta than these zulus nd katemas
@Popeye don’t mislead the masses, Noah Chivuta plays in the Thai Premier League which is the top tier of Thai Football
mwiinga. chipolopolo die hards admin
ati top tier of thai football and someones says that proudly
@Paradox I’m not a member of that page.
I hope Sunzu’s deal has an option for an outright buy. It will be a footballing travesty if he returns to China.
Chisambadinho is now a high grade player. Thumbs up!
Good to see Sunzu picking up after the red card. Congrats to the young maN from Ghana Y.Yeboah for a solid performance. Our brothers have so muck talent. This boy I’m sure will be a pillar for the Black Stars in future.
