Sunzu and Frankie Musonda to partner in defenceĀ

2012 AFCON winner Stophila Sunzu is expected to continue his partnership with Frankie Musonda in the heart of defence.

The duo has been playing together for sometime and it seems to be the most likely partnership that Avram Grant will use this evening.

Sunzu brings a lot of experience to the team having played for Chipolopolo for over 15 years.

He made his debut in 2008 and has played in Five Africa Cup of Nations including the historical 2012 one which Zambia won.

He has played 77 times for the Copper Bullets and scored five goals.

Frankie Musonda on the other hand is the new face in the team who has become an important player.

Musonda has made 12 appearances for the Chipolopolo Boys. He has made a solid partnership with Sunzu.

Kabwe Warriors’ Kabaso Chongo is also available for selection together with youngster Gift Mphande.

At left back, with both Kebson Kamanga and Rodrick Kabwe not available, Lubambo Musonda is expected to play in that position.

Musonda who recently moved to the Germany second edition has been playing for the Chipolopolo Boys for the last ten years and brings a wealth of experience to the table.

In the absence of Benedict Chepeshi, Tandi Mwape is expected to turn out at right back.

Zambia are currently second in group E after beating Congo Brazzaville 4-2 on Match Day one before losing 2-1 to Niger on Match Day 2.
