Sunday action for week 19

The Zambia Super League entered week 19 of action on Saturday with six mouth-watering games taking center stage across the country.

Red Arrows continued their fine form as they thrashed Kansanshi Dynamos 5-0 to open a five-point lead at the summit.

Kafue Celtic came from two goals down inspired by Albert Kangwanda to hold Forest Rangers to a 2-2 draw at Edwin Imboela Stadium.

Tapson Kaseba put up a man-of-the-match performance for Konkola Blades on his return netting a goal and winning a penalty in a 2-0 win over Lusaka Dynamos.

Prison Leopards and Indeni also recorded wins while Sensational Zanaco and Nkana shared spoils at Chilata.

The action continues this afternoon as Green Buffaloes welcome Nkwazi, Power Dynamos visit Green Eagles and ZESCO United welcome the Magnificent People’s team, Kabwe Warriors giving a chance to punters to place their bets with any of the best betting sites carrying the games.

GREEN BUFFALOES VS NKWAZI

Second-placed Green Buffaloes welcome Nkwazi at Woodlands Stadium with a view of reducing the gap between them and log leaders Red Arrows.

The Justin Chinama tutored outfit are desperate for maximum points as they are winless in their last six games with only three points accumulated from a possible 18.

Nkwazi is also on a poor run with only one win from their last seven games.

Green Buffaloes have been successful in this fixture winning eleven of the last 23 with only five losses and the other seven games ending in draws.

Strikers Friday Samu and Martin Njobvu will be key for the Soldiers while Nkwazi will look to Stephen Mutama and Christopher Zulu for goals.

A win for Green Buffaloes will take them to 34 points and reduce the Airmen’s lead to just two points.

GREEN EAGLES VS POWER DYNAMOS

Power Dynamos will be looking to continue their good run this afternoon when they visit Choma’s Independence Stadium.

Abayellow has only lost twice in their last 14 games winning eight of those matches. The Kawale Boys on the other hand have only managed to win one of their last four games.

Power however has only managed two wins from their last ten visits to Choma with the last one coming back in 2012.

The hosts have won four of the last six meetings at their backyard with the other two ending in draws.

Coach Aggrey Chiyangi may give his two new acquisitions Emmanuel Mwaba and Ernest Mbewe their debut today.

Mwenya Chipepo and his Boys have a mountain to climb to beat Green Eagles away in Choma but this season they have not been as ruthless at the slaughterhouse.

ZESCO UNITED VS KABWE WARRIORS

Defending Champions, ZESCO United have a chance to go third when they welcome Kabwe Warriors at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium.

Zega Mambo has been inconsistent this season with only two wins in their last five games. Kabwe Warriors have also been very inconsistent this season with only a win to their name in the last five games.

ZESCO has dominated this fixture with 15 wins from their last 28 meetings and only lost four times in that same period. Nine games have ended in draws.

Chipolopolo midfielder, Prince Mumba has signed a short-term deal with Kabwe Warriors and is expected to start today in what is expected to be a tough midfield battle against Chanda Mukuka.

Pedro Miguel may lead the line for Zega Mambo alongside young Enock Sakala Jnr.
