Minister of Youth, Sport and Arts Elvis Nkandu visited injured Ochumba Oseke Lubanji at China’s Beijing hospital.
The Copper Queens striker is recovering from an Anterior Cruciate Ligament, ACL surgery.
Nkandu assured the former Red Arrows striker of government support during her recovery from ACL surgery.
“We were glad to learn that she successfully underwent Anterior Cruciate Ligament (ACL) surgery on May 30, 2025,” Nkandu wrote on Facebook.
“We conveyed our heartfelt wishes for her swift recovery and assured her of the Government’s commitment to her well-being, ensuring she receives full support and care during this challenging time.
Lubanji got injured during the Copper Queens visit to China in April at the 2025 Yongchuan International Tournament.
