Simba, Chama in landmark friendly with Sevilla

Spanish Laliga outfit FC Sevilla have touched down in Tanzania for a special friendly clash with Mainland defending Champions Simba.

The match is set for National Stadium in Dar es Salaam on Thursday May 23.

Sevilla arrived in Dar es Salaam on Tuesday and are set to jet out on Thursday, immediately after the game which is an initiative of Spotpesa Tanzania in collaboration with Laliga.

The special friendly match will offer a landmark opportunity to Zambia international Clatous Chota Chama – to rub shoulders with Europa league record holders.

Chama will also get to be exposed globally as the friendly is set to be beamed live with the world watching.

Sevilla are on the East African shores for the first time in history. They become only the the second European side to visit East Africa, after English side Everton in 2017.
