… As striker joins Saudi Arabia second tier side
Striker Justin Shonga has joined Saudi Arabian side Najran SC.
He has penned a short term deal until the end of the season with an option to extend for a season.
Shonga completed his move after leaving Georgian side Gagra last month. The 27 year old scored twice in 16 appearances in Georgia.
Najran will be the seventh club Shonga will be playing since 2017.
He spent a season at South Africa giants Orlando Pirates having joined from Nkwazi after impressing at the Cosafa Cup.
He made 46 appearances and scored 10 goals for the Buccaneers.
After stay at Pirates, Shonga went on to play for Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila and Cape Town City where he scored 5 goals in 22 goals.
Then came a move to Egyptian side Ismaily and after 4 matches in 2021.
In 2022, he signed for Sekhukhune United in South Africa and again things didn’t work for him.
He returned home and briefly featured for Nkwazi before he clinched a move to Georgia.
On the international stage, Shonga has scored 16 goals for Zambia.
