Zambia Women national team have progressed to the final round of qualification for the 2018 GHAN Africa Women Championships after holding Twiga stars of Tanzania to a one all draw at Nkoloma stadium.
Shepolopolo who started the first half as the better side only needed three minutes to go infront through a Racheal Kundananji strike. The copper queens held on to the lead in the first half to go to the break with the advantage.
Tanzania re-organised and started pressing a seemingly tured Shepolopolo and 18 minutes from time Mwanahamis Omar levelled matters with a header . Despite throwing everything at each other non was able to find a second goal as the game ended 1-1.
Shepolopolo progress to the final round of qualification on away goal rule after a 4-4 aggregate scoreline. Zambia will face Zimbabwe for a place at the 2018 GHAN Africa Women Championships.
