Amity Shamende was the star of the show in week 8 of the MTN Super League alongside the likes of Alassane Diarra and Saith Sakala.
The MTN Super League entered week eight of action over the weekend with Red Arrows continuing their good run while Nkana suffered another loss.
The ZamFoot Crew now looks at the players who impressed during the games.
GK: Haveson Chingambu (Mines United) – The goalkeeper made some crucial saves despite Mines United’s 1-0 loss to FC MUZA.
He takes the place between the sticks ahead of Lameck Siame who also had a brilliant game for ZANACO away at Konkola Blades.
LCB: William Kamwanga ( Mighty Mufulira Wanderers) – The Young defender is among the most promising in the MTN Super League and was again solid as Mighty Mufulira Wanderers played to a 1-1 draw with Nkwazi.
He was also named the club’s player of the match.
RCB: Fredrick Mwimanzi ( ZANACO) – The lanky defender was solid for ZANACO and was key for them as they kept a clean sheet against Konkola Blades.
CB: Chilimba Moonga ( Green Buffaloes)- The skipper was very solid at the back for Green Buffaloes in their 1-1 draw with Nchanga Rangers.
He made important blocks, interceptions and clearances.
DMF: Benjamin Saeli ( Konkola Blades) – The former Riverplate midfielder had another good game despite Konkola Blades’ loss to the Bankers.
CM; Collins Sikombe ( Green Eagles) – The engine of the Kawale Boys midfield, Sikombe weaved his magic again as they cruised to a 2-0 win over Nkana.
He also set up Amity Shamende for his first goal.

RCM: Alassane Diarra ( Red Arrows)- One of the best players in the MTN Super League showed once again why he is among the best players in the league controlling the midfield in the Airmen’s 3-1 win over FC Leopards.
LCM: Saith Sakala ( Kabwe Warriors) – The former Saudi Arabia based midfielder came off the bench to make an impact scoring the winner as Kabwe Warriors beat Mutondo Stars 2-1.
AMF; Albert Kangwanda ( Red Arrows) – The most in-form player in the MTN Super League continued where he left off as he scored again.
He was a thorn in the FC Leopards’ defense and gave them a tough time.
RCF: Amity Shamende ( Green Eagles)- No player in week eight had as much impact as Shamende.
He scored twice as Green Eagles saw off Nkana 2-0 at Choma’s Independence Stadium.
LCF: Brian Kabika ( ZANACO) – The striker came up big in the absence of Malawian forward Chawananga Kaonga and scored the winner for the Bankers away in Chililabombwe.
