SA Connect: Gamphani Lungu involved in a goal action for Kabwe and Samu

The Zambia national team will be in action next month as they host Lesotho in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. 

The ZamFoot Crew now looks at how Chipolopolo players in South Africa performed over the weekend. 

At the Lucas Masterpieces Moripe Stadium, Gamphani Jones Lungu came off the bench and was involved in the first goal as Supersport United beat Maritzburg United 2-0. 

Kegan Johannes scored the first goal while Bradley Grobler scored his 100th career goal to help SuperSport United to a 2-0 DStv Premiership. 

With his second-half goal, Grobler has joined an exclusive club of Premier Soccer League (PSL) centurions in the form of legends Collins Mbesuma, Siyabonga Nomvethe, Mabhuti Khenyeza, Daniel Mudau and Manuel Bucuane.

Friday Samu on the other hand came off the bench to play the last 45 minutes. 

At the Peter Mokaba Stadium, Rodrick Kabwe came off the bench to play the last 32 minutes for Sekhukhune United in their 1-0 loss to Cape Town City. 

Former Zanaco coach goalkeeper Toaster Nsabata was an unused substitute. 

At the Moses Mabhida Stadium, Midfielder Rally Bwalya was an unused substitute for Amazulu who played to a 1-1 draw with Royal AM. 

At the Sisa Dukashe Stadium, Striker Mwape Musonda was an unused substitute for the Dube Birds, Swallows who recorded an important 2-1 win over Chippa United. 

Kagiso Malinga scored a brace to seal the win for the Dube Birds.
