Rusike to wear armband as Numba names 18 man squad to face Warriors

Zanaco boss Numba Mumamba has named 18 players for the MTN/FAZ Super League stream A encounter against Kabwe Warriors away in Kabwe.

The squad is led by Zimbabwean midfield ace Tafadzwa Rusike and leading league top goalscorer Roger Kola. Toaster Nsabata misses again as Mangani Banda and Racha Kola take the two places for goal minders in the league.

The bankers gaffer has also revealed that influential midfielder Rusike will wear the captain’s armband on Saturday despite first captain Taonga Bwembya being part of the team.

Rusike was handed the captains armband for the first time in the match against Kitwe United following a second half substitution of first captain, Taonga Bwembya

“We have Taonga Bwembya and Racha Kola in the team to face Warriors as our first and third captains respectively. Handing Rusike the armband is mainly to rotate our captains so that each one of them can use his influence as a captain to lift the spirit of the team during matches,” Numba told Zanaco Media.

“A team’s leader with a strong mental strength on and off the pitch can influence the outcome of the match,” He added

The team had their final training session this morning starting with warm-up, ball technique then set pieces.
