Eagles rope in Kilambe to have a trio of former Power dynamos players on technical bench

Choma based Zambia Super League side Green Eagles have roped in Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Rotson Kilambe to join their technical bench.

In a press release written by Club press and public relations officer Faith Kaira and made available to the ZamFoot crew, Eagles have elevated Alex Namazaba to the first assistant position left vacant by the departure of George Chilufya to Power Dynamos.

Kilambe will then take up Namazaba’s former spot as the second assistant coach. The duo will assistant Aggrey Chiyangi as the Choma out-fit now line up a technical bench trio of all former Power dynamos players.

Green Eagles Football Club has appointed Rotson Kilambe as Second Assistant Coach to Aggrey Chiyangi.

Kilambe has coached Lumwana Radiants, Mining Rangers, Konkola Mine Police and Indeni Football Clubs respectively.

Kilambe is also remembered for having scored the lone goal when Zambia defeated Zimbabwe in the 1998 COSAFA Cup Final helping the chipolopolo lift the cup for a second time in a row.

During his playing days, Kilambe also featured for Kaizer Chiefs, Mamelodi Sundowns, Zanaco FC, Power Dynamos, Green Buffaloes FC among others.

He has expressed joy over joining Green Eagles FC and that he is looking forward to working with the team.

As a club we welcome the new Coach and wish him the very best.

Meanwhile, Alex Namazaba has been elevated from Second Assistant to first Assistant Coach following the departure of George Chilufya who left Green Eagles FC for Power Dynamos Football Club in January.
