Round-Up: Lameck and Lubambo on target, debut for Patson Daka

Several Zambia players were in action over the weekend for their respective clubs around the world.

Patson Daka finally made his English Premier League debut for the Foxes, Leicester City. Lameck Banda scored on his debut in Israel while Lubambo Musonda found the back of the net for the first time in Denmark.

In South Africa, Goalkeeper, Kennedy Mweene kept a clean sheet as Mamelodi Sundowns started their title defense with a 1-0 win over Amazulu.

Winger Augustine Mulenga missed the match due to injury.

Midfielder Nathan Sinkala put in a full shift as Stellenbosch played to a 2-2 draw with Orlando Pirates at the Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg.

Gamphani Lungu was a second-half substitute for Supersport United in their goalless draw with Cape Town City.

Both Austin Muwowo and Mwape Musonda missed Swallows FC 1-0 win over Royal AM.

In Morocco, Clatous Chota Chama was involved in RS Berkane’s 1-0 win over Racing club Casablanca in a friendly match on Sunday before being unveiled on Monday.

In Denmark, Winger Lubambo Musonda opened his goal account for his Danish outfit AC Horsens FC who played to a hard-fought 2-1 win Over Jammerbugt FC in a week, 2 Danish 1st Division, 2021/2022 league encounter.

In England, Patson Daka came from the bench to replace Harvey Barnes and make his English Premier League debut but unfortunately, his team suffered a 4-1 loss at the hands of West Ham.

Midfielder Enock Mwepu came from the bench to play the last 20 minutes of Brighton and Hove Albioncm’s 2-0 win over Watford making his English Premier League home debut. He replaced Leandro Trossard

Goals from Neal Maupay and Shane Duffy secured the Seagulls’ second win of the season in as many games.

In Israel, Zambian winger Lameck Banda came from the bench to score a goal on his debut for new club Maccabi Petah Tikva in their 3-0 win over Ironi Kiryat Shmona in a Toto Cup Ligat at the Kiryat-Shmona Municipal Stadium

Banda replaced Roei Ronen at halftime and only needed two minutes to make his mark scoring the third goal.

In Holland, Former Chipolopolo striker Jacob Mulenga was a second-half substitute for Go Ahead Eagles who suffered their second consecutive defeat of the 2021/2022 Eredivisie season.

In Portugal, Kenneth Kalunga and his CD Cova Piedade teammates had an off weekend.

In Russia, Midfielder Klings Kangwa was a second-half substitute for Arsenal Tula who played to a 1-1 draw with Spartak Moscow.

In Scotland, Fashion Sakala Jnr missed FC Rangers 4-2 win over Ross County due to a groin injury.

In Sweden, Edward Chilufya put in a shift while Emmanuel Banda played the last 45 points as Djurgården IF played to a goalless draw with Mjällby.
