Rodrick Kabwe opens goal account as Samu assists…Gamphani Lungu nets in Supersport United loss

Chipolopolo midfielder Rodrick Kabwe opened his DSTV premiership goal scoring account for Sekhukhune United on Wednesday afternoon in their 1-1 draw with Maritzburg United.

Kabwe started the match at left back with Toaster Nsabata in goal while striker Justin Shonga started on the bench.

For Maritzburg, Former Green Buffaloes striker Friday Samu started upfront leading the attack for the the of choice.

The former Kabwe Warriors and Zanaco man scored his goal in the second minute putting Sekhukhune in the lead.

Samu was on hand to set up Keegan Ritchie for the equaliser two minutes to half time. Samu has now been involved in three goals in the league in his four appearances, a goal and two assists.

Shonga came from the bench to play the last 45 minutes after replacing Evans Rusike at the start of the second half but could not help help Sekhukhune steal a result as it ended, 1-1 after 90 minutes.

Sekhukhune are eighth on the log with 29 points from 22 games while the Team If Choice has 22 points from 22 games played.

At the Orlando Stadium, Gamphani Lungu scored his fifth goal of the season for Supersport United who succumbed to a 3-2 loss at the hands of Orlando Pirates.
