Rodrick Kabwe on target…As Kambole assists in the Soweto derby

Zambian players abroad continued to impress on Sunday with Rodrick Kabwe scoring and Lazarus Kambole setting up the only goal of the game as Kaizer Chiefs beat Orlando Pirates 1-0.

Midfielder Rodrick Kabwe came from the bench to rescue a point for bottom-placed Black Leopards as they held Mamelodi Sundowns to a 1-1 draw in a DSTV Premiership.

Kabwe struck for Lidoda Duvha in the 80th minute off a Rodney Ramagalela assist. Kabwe is among the foreign-based players that Zambia coach Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has summoned for the back-to-back Africa Cup of Nations qualifier matches against Algeria and Zimbabwe.

Kennedy Mweene was left out of the matchday squad.

Elsewhere, Former Zesco United striker Lazarus Kambole set up Samir Nurkovic for the only goal of the game as Kaizer Chiefs beat Orlando Pirates in a Soweto Derby at FNB Stadium on Sunday.

Former Nkana and forest Rangers midfielder Austin Muwowo was left out of the matchday squad

Winger Augustine Mulenga put in a good 80-minute shift for AmaZulu who recorded an emphatic 2-0 win over TTM.

In Portugal, Kenneth Kalunga and his Benfica Castelo Blanco teammates played out to a goalless draw with Vitória de Sernache.
