Zambian national team forward Patson Daka did not travel to France with Leicester City for their UEFA Europa Conference League round of 16 second-leg against Rennes.
The Foxes boss, Brendan Rogers revealed that Daka is ill and may miss Sunday’s visit by Brentford in the English Premier League because he needs longer to recover.
“Çağlar Söyüncü should be back. Him and Patson Daka didn’t feel well so they couldn’t travel. Çağs is much better. There’s question marks for Patson. Jonny Evans is close to being a part of the squad, which would be great for us. He’s worked really, really hard as well,” Rogers said.
Daka, Söyüncü, Wilfred Ndidi, and Boubakary Soumare are questionable for the match.
Leicester will be without Marc Albrighton (groin), Jonny Evans (hamstring), Timothy Castagne (thigh), Danny Ward (knee injury), Ryan Bertrand (knee Injury) and Jamie Vardy (knee) in the game against the Bees at King Power Stadium.
Leicester City host Brentford in the Premier League on Sunday at 16:00hrs.
Meanwhile, City have been drawn against Dutch side, PSV Eindhoven in the quarter final of the UEFA Europa Conference League.
