ROAD TO TOKYO 2020: CHAMBESHI SUMMONS 28 FOR LOCAL CAMP

Zambia Under-23 national team coach Beston Chambeshi has summoned 28 players for a local camp as preparations for next month’s Egypt 2019 Africa Cup of Nations kickoff.

Chambeshi has summoned a blend of his 2017 Under-20 Africa Cup winning lads and promising players in the local league.
Team manager Mwansa Kapyanga said the camp will run from October 8-16 in Lusaka.

Zambia has been placed in Group B alongside defending champions Nigeria, Ivory Coast and South Africa.

The tournament runs from November 8-22 in Egypt.

Top three teams at the Africa Cup of Nations will qualify to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

FAZ has placed a high premium on qualification to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics with a call to the bench to rope the best talent available locally and international for the assignment.
