The Chipolopolo boys have arrived in Nouakchott ahead of Friday’s Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Mauritania.
Zambia had been holed up in Marrakech for a 10-day international camp.
The team arrived at 02:05 hours local time (04:00 hours CAT) and proceeded to the Al Khaima Hotel after an hour of entry procedures at the airport.
FAZ vice president Justin Mumba and some officials from the ministry of sports received the team.
Zambia plays Mauritania at the Olympic Stadium at 18:00 CAT in a Group B Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
The Chipolopolo will host Tunisia on September 7, 2021, at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola in another Group B fixture.

Possible outcomes:
Home wins against Eq G and Mauritania = 6 points
Away against above two,possibly =2 or 3 points
vs Tunisia home and away =1 point
Total= 9 or 10 points
Just may be good enough to advance…all depends on what happens in Ndola.
Ndola has not been a happy hunting ground in recent times unlike Independence when Kalushya and co were dynamite.
On the other hand,there is a new HE…

Tunisia is a big threat . They can beat all teams home and away .. We should not expect the team to qualify to the world cup yet its failing cosafa level. All the teams in this group they qualify to afcon. and they are experimenting like Zambia. On paper Zambia is the weakest of three. The boys are under dogs and only a miracle can take them to next round
That is true but afcon is different from world cup. Who knew Zambia could win afcon 2012.? Preparation is key.we are in a building phase. Consistency is key lets take one game at a time.Now our focus should be on Mauritania. I can tell you guys this team needs support. We don’t have alot of stars.and we are using what is on our disposal. We need to move forward. The fact is that this is our best team .
