ROAD TO K1 MILLION – ABSA CUP OFF TO A BRILLIANT START…. From Dramatic penalty shootouts to narrow wins

The 2025 ABSA Cup kicked off today with three exciting matches taking place.

First up it was, Nangweshi Pirates taking on Air Power, and the Zambia Air force sponsored outfit came out tops becoming the first team to qualify to the round of 16 where they will meet the MTN Super League log leaders, Power Dynamos

In the second game, Lusaka Province side Makeni All Stars booked a slot in the round of 16 ahead of Muchinga Blue Eagles.

After a 2-2 draw, a dramatic set of 16 penalties ended 5-4 in favour of Makeni All Stars . They will face Kabwe Warriors in the round of 16.

Roan United qualified to the Round of 16 where they will meet Nkana FC after edging Young Nkwazi 1-0.

The Action continues tomorrow at Nkana Stadium, Barts welcome Teta FC while Solwezi Academy faces Mathkat.
