Former Zambia U17 winger Richard ‘Chungi’ Ngoma has penned a four year deal with Israeli top flight side, Maccabi Netanya.
Ngoma initially joined Netanya in August 2022 on loan from Atletico Lusaka and played in the U19 league.
Richard is the 2nd Zambian player to play for this club after Lameck Banda who spent a season there on loan from Tinkoff Russian Premier League side, between 2020 and 2021.
“Richard Ngoma the 2004 born Zambian player signed a 4 years contract with Maccabi Netanya from the Israeli premier league.”
Netanya is one of the biggest clubs in Israel. They finished 6th last season and finished top 6 in league and were finalists in the State Cup.
In their history they have won 2 Championships. Last season they played in EUROPA league qualifications.
“I’m very very happy to sign my first international professional contract and can’t wait to start,” he said.
“I want to thank Mauro Sanna and Atletico Lusaka for all the things they taught me. I will be their representative abroad. I will miss them but it’s my time to give my next challenge. It’s my time now to work on the pitch and do my job,” he added.
The deal was facilitated by Israeli agent Nir Karin.
Good move. All the best lad
