European based duo of Wingers Richard ‘Chungi’ Ngoma and Peter Chikola are expected to join the Zambia U-20 national team camp ahead of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations.
The duo are expected to beef up Chisi Mbewe’s squad for the 17th edition of the Continental showpiece.
Ngoma is in Israel on the books of Maccabi Netanya while Chikola is on the books of Croatian side Gorica.
The junior Copper Bullets are currently in camp preparing for a friendly match against the Young Pharaohs set for later this month.
The Young Pharaohs and the Young Bullets are using the games as part of their preparations for the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations.
Zambia returns to the under-20 AFCON fold for the first time since their 2017 expedition that saw them lift the crown on home soil.
The 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations will be hosted by Egypt between 18th February and 12th March.
The top four teams at the tournament will qualify for the FIFA U-20 World Cup held in Indonesia later that year.
