Red Arrows wrapped up their 2025/26 MTN Super League campaign with a commanding 2-0 military derby victory over Green Buffaloes at Nkoloma Stadium.
Second-half strikes from captain Saddam Yusuf Phiri and Malian midfielder Alassane Diarra secured all three points as Arrows extended their dominance in one of Zambian football’s fiercest rivalries.
After a tightly contested first half ended goalless, the Airmen made an immediate breakthrough just a minute after the restart. Phiri rose superbly to meet a delivery and powered home a fine header to hand the hosts the lead in the 46th minute.
Arrows continued to control proceedings and eventually doubled their advantage in the 74th minute when Diarra calmly finished from an Albert Kangwanda assist to put the result beyond doubt.
The victory means Arrows are now unbeaten in their last nine league meetings with Buffaloes, recording five wins and four draws since their last defeat in the fixture in 2021.
It also capped an outstanding home campaign for the Airmen, who finished the league season unbeaten at Nkoloma Stadium with 14 wins and three draws from 17 matches.
