Zambian champions Red Arrows have been handed a potentially favourable draw in Group C of the CAF Confederation Cup, where they will face AS Maniema Union of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania’s Singida Black Stars.
The Airmen will also meet a fourth opponent yet to be confirmed, with the final place to be decided through the outstanding qualification tie involving Algeria’s CR Belouizdad, Mauritania’s AS Douanes and Guinea’s Hafia FC.
The draw offers Red Arrows a realistic opportunity to compete for a place in the knockout stages as they prepare for their historic maiden appearance in the competition’s group phase.
While Maniema Union and Singida Black Stars will provide stern tests, the Zambian side will be encouraged by a group that appears competitive without being insurmountable.
Red Arrows earned their place in the group stage after a memorable qualifying campaign, eliminating South African giants Kaizer Chiefs on penalties following a 1-1 aggregate draw to reach the final phase of the competition for the first time in the club’s history.
The group stage is scheduled to begin between 27 and 29 November 2026, with the Airmen now awaiting confirmation of their remaining opponents as preparations gather pace for their continental challenge.
