MTN Super League runners-up Red Arrows FC capped off their 2025/26 campaign with an end-of-season awards ceremony on Friday night, celebrating a season that also delivered ABSA Cup glory.
Winger Ackim Mumba was named the club’s Player of the Year after an impressive campaign for the Airmen, receiving K15,000 for the honour.
Forward Albert Kangwanda collected the Top Scorer Award after finishing the season with 17 goals in all competitions — including 13 in the league and four in the ABSA Cup. The former Kafue Celtic FC striker received K10,000 for his goalscoring exploits.
Goalkeeper Charles Kalumba won the Golden Glove Award, while Malian midfielder Alassane Diarra received the Air Force Commander’s Special Recognition Award. Both players walked away with K10,000.
Defender Michee Malonga earned the Most Appearance Award, Godfrey Ngwenya was recognised as the club’s Most Disciplined Player, Brian Chilimina collected the Most Improved Player accolade, and Cedrick Onyumbe was named Most Consistent Player.
A special moment during the ceremony saw long-time supporter Wainess Nyirenda, affectionately known as “Agogo”, receive the club’s Lifetime Loyalty Award together with K15,000 in recognition of her unwavering support for the team over the years.
All award recipients also received trophies and gift hampers sponsored by Zambia Industrial and Commercial Bank.
Red Arrows concluded the season second in the MTN Super League standings and crowned their campaign by lifting the ABSA Cup after a 2-0 victory over Power Dynamos FC in the final.
