Prince Mumba could be headed to Croatia for trials

Zambia national team midfielder Prince Mumba could be heading for trials in Croatia, The ZamFoot Crew understands.

Mumba has for a long time favored a move abroad amidst interest from several top local clubs like Zesco United, Zanaco, and Red Arrows.

Mumba is expected to travel to Croatia for trials soon at a named club.

Mumba has been receiving rave views at Kabwe Warriors and helped the club qualify for continental football in the 2020/2021 season.

Mumba is highly rated by Chipolopolo coach Aljosa Asanovic and It was the Croatian who insisted on handing the diminutive midfielder his debut as a second-half substitute against Senegal in a friendly in July.

Mumba made a scoring competitive debut in the 2-1 win over Mauritania. The diminutive midfielder has made nine appearances for the Copper Bullets.

Mumba was the captain of the Zambia U-20 national team between 2017 and 2020. He won the 2019 COSAFA U-20 Championship.

Mumba was named Player of the Tournament at the 2020 COSAFA Men’s Under-20 Championships and won an ‘experience’ with leading side Villarreal CF, Those plans were however thwarted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
