The Local Chipolopolo squad will on Monday May 19, enter camp in preparation for the 2024 rescheduled African Nations Championship -CHAN.
Coach Wedson Nyirenda says the team has lost a lot of time due to unforeseen circumstances mainly caused by the past Football Association of Zambia -FAZ- Elections.
Nyirenda has disclosed that the team had four training camps turned down which has negatively affected their CHAN Preparations.
He is, however, confident that with the number of talented local players available for selection, the team can pick up.
Nyirenda further says he looks forward to the tournament adding that the final draws were made yesterday in Tanzania.
Zambia are in group A with hosts Kenya, Morocco Angola and the Democratic Republic of Congo -DRC.
He says though described as the group of death, Zambia will prepare adequately.
The CHAN tournament will run from August 2nd to 30th 2025 and is being jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania.
