The MTN Super League title race tightened dramatically on Saturday as Power Dynamos, Nchanga Rangers, Kabwe Warriors and Green Eagles all secured crucial victories in Week 21, reshaping the upper half of the table.
Power close in on Arrows
At REIZ Arena, Power Dynamos produced a commanding display to defeat Napsa Stars 3-1 and stretch their winning streak to four straight league matches.
Eddy Ankobo stunned the hosts early, striking in the 3rd minute to hand Abayellow a dream start. Napsa responded through Matthew Topola, who levelled in the 15th minute to briefly restore parity.
But Powerโs quality off the bench proved decisive. Innocent Kashita restored the visitorsโ lead in the 42nd minute before Brian Masanyinga sealed the victory with a clinical finish in the 76th minute.
The win moves Power Dynamos to 38 points, just one behind leaders Red Arrows (39), although Power have two games in hand โ firmly intensifying the title battle.
Nchanga clip Arrowsโ wings
League leaders Red Arrows stumbled at Nchanga Stadium, falling 2-1 to an inspired Nchanga Rangers side.
Mwiza Siwale opened the scoring in the 5th minute, and Christopher Itaka doubled the advantage in the 39th minute to give the hosts a commanding cushion. Albert Kangwanda pulled one back for Arrows in the 57th minute, but Rangers held firm.
The victory lifts Nchanga Rangers to 37 points in third place, now just two points behind the Airmen and one behind Power Dynamos โ compressing the top three into a thrilling margin.
Warriors march into fourth
Kabwe Warriors edged rivals Nkana FC 1-0 in a tightly contested affair decided by Field Kandelaโs 24th-minute strike.
That result propels Warriors into fourth place on 33 points, leapfrogging several contenders and strengthening their push for continental qualification.
Eagles soar in Mazabuka
In Mazabuka, Derrick Bulaya delivered a match-winning brace to guide Green Eagles to a 2-1 victory over FC MUZA. Bulaya struck in the 3rd and 60th minutes, cancelling out Kondwani Mโhangoโs 5th-minute opener for the hosts.
The win lifts Eagles into seventh place on 29 points, keeping them within touching distance of the top four.
Kansanshi, Buffaloes share spoils
Kansanshi Dynamos and Mutondo Stars settled for a dramatic 1-1 draw. Joseph Kiala Kiala gave Mutondo the lead in the 74th minute, but Kalonji Mwepu responded almost immediately in the 75th minute to rescue a point. Kansanshi remain 13th with 22 points, while Mutondo sit in the relegation zone on 18.
Meanwhile, Mines United and Green Buffaloes also shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Martin Njobvu put Buffaloes ahead in the 56th minute before Peter Banda equalised in the 66th minute. The result leaves Mines rooted at the bottom on 14 points, while Buffaloes remain ninth on 27.
With just a single point separating the top two and only two points covering the top three, the 2025/26 MTN Super League title race is heating up โ and Week 21 may prove to be a pivotal turning point in the battle for supremacy.
