Jacob Kaunda grabbed a stoppage-time consolation for Rangers.
Meanwhile in Solwezi, Kansanshi Dynamos FC and Nkana FC played out a lively goalless draw at Independence Stadium. The hosts created the clearer openings, with Kalonji Mwepu and Kizito Kezron both going close, while goalkeeper Gwazani Banda produced a key save to deny Francis Debra in the second half.
Attention now shifts to Sunday’s decisive relegation battle. FC Leopards host Nkwazi FC knowing victory may still not guarantee survival, while NAPSA Stars FC need a win against Mutondo Stars FC to secure their top-flight status. One of the two sides will join Mines United by the end of the final day in the National League.
