Power Dynamos edge ZESCO United in five-goal thriller, NAPSA held by Buffaloes

Power Dynamos produced a strong performance to beat ZESCO United 3-2 in an exciting MTN Super League Week 23 encounter played on Sunday.

Moses Shumah was the hero for Abayellow as he netted a hat-trick with goals in the 18th, 65th and 80th minutes.

ZESCO United responded through a brace from Amine Hiver who found the back of the net in the 33rd and 39th minutes, but it was not enough to deny Power Dynamos all three points.

The victory sees Abayellow open up a five-point lead at the top of the table as they move to 48 points with a game in hand.

Shumah has also moved to the summit of the top goalscorers chart with 12 goals.

ZESCO United, on the other hand, remain 12th on the log with 25 points.

Meanwhile, NAPSA Stars and Green Buffaloes settled for a 1-1 draw.

Matthews Tolopa put NAPSA Stars ahead in the 54th minute before Stephen Ikpeme equalised for Green Buffaloes in the 75th minute.

NAPSA Stars remain stuck in the relegation zone while Buffaloes stay 10th on the table with 28 points.

In Lusaka, Nkwazi FC and Mutondo Stars also shared the spoils following a 1-1 draw.

Carlos Kaoma gave Nkwazi the lead in the 38th minute but Joseph Wakiala Kiala rescued a point for Mutondo Stars with a 76th minute strike.

Mutondo Stars remain 14th and missed an opportunity to move up to 12th place, while Nkwazi stay rooted in 16th place with 19 points.
