The MTN Super League finally came to an end on Saturday, June 4th and Power Dynamos were crowned Champions after finishing top.
Abayellow managed 65 points ahead of FC MUZA who finished second with 59 points.
The Kitwe giants had to wait for their game of the season to be crowned Champions at Nkoloma Stadium in front of the outgoing Champions, Red Arrows.
The only blemish on what has been a good season for the Mandela Cup winners was their humiliating loss on the day, 5-1 to Chisi Mbewe’s Airmen.
Albert Kangwanda scored a brace, Kebson Kamanga netted a screamer while Saddam Yussuf Phiri and Felix Bulaya scored a goal each.
After the game it was time for the Kitwe side to finally lay their hands on their hard earned trophy after a rollercoaster of a season.
This is Power Dynamos’ first league crown since 2011 and it’s not surprising that there is a lot of celebration in Ndeke and surrounding areas.
